Maureen Denise McCormick, youngest daughter and sole child of Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills on 5 August 1956. She was raised by her mother, who was household worker and father who taught. Michael, Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and often performed puppet shows for the kids in her neighbourhood. The story of her fairytale started when she was six years old. She was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest. Then she received a phone call from Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she consider to work in the business of show production. McCormick was chosen for her first role of note during 1964. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial that featured an adorable doll named Baby Pattaburp. A year later, McCormick was featured in a commercial featuring"Chatty Catherine," Mattel's newest doll "Chatty Catherine" doll, and she was later cast in the show called Wind It up, and It Breaks. McCormick, who was one of the more than 1200 kids who had auditioned was chosen to play the youngest of three twins in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a newlywed family. The five-year run of the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick revealed in her book of 2008, Here's The Story of Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she almost lost her virginity during the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. He was 19. He was 16. The possibility was there according to her. "But the timing for us was never just right."
